Dear Creator,

I hope I've provided inspiration if you need it, but ultimately if you have something you passionately want to create that doesn't contradict my DNWs, I want you to write that instead! I love these characters and pairings and will happily consume anything related to them.

Also, where my requested pairing interferes with a canon relationship, I don't have a specific way I'd like you to handle it. You can break the characters up, have infidelity, just pretend the canon relationship never existed, whatever you want to do.

Subs feeling like they need to be punished for some non-kinky transgressions. For instance, if a sub feels they need to be punished because they didn't wear the panties that their domme picked out, that's cool. If they feel they need to be punished because an action of theirs got people killed in canon, that makes me uncomfortable.

Conversations between characters. Whether it's a 'let's hash this thing out' or just a conversation that looks very uninteresting but winds up being exactly what one character needs to hear, or gives one character a greater appreciation of the other... I like talking.

Fics that focus on the bad parts of characters, or things they are ashamed of. Like maybe a character has a canonical bad temper, or maybe a character feels they are too passive in life or not smart enough... I love the personal 'I am not good enough' angst.

Dark takes on my characters/pairings. I'd like them to be somewhat canonically believable (playing into the entire 'I like fics that focus on the bad parts of a character' thing) but hey, maybe the hypercritical character could be verbally abusive to their partner. Or maybe someone is just emotionally checked out of the relationship, even though they really do love that person, and it causes the other person grief.

Period/canon-typical racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, classism - all the -phobias and -isms that have plagued history and our current day!

Phryne Fisher (Miss Fisher's) doms Julia Ogden (Murdoch Mysteries)
Ratings: Explicit, Mature, Teen and Up

I just love the idea of these two meeting each other. They're both progressive, modern women and I just think the sparks could fly if they met! Technically Julia exists a few decades earlier, but if you want to hand wave that away and have them be roughly similar ages when they meet, that is cool.

I can totally see Phryne as having experience with being a domme, and roping an 'I'll try anything once' Julia into it. I can see their time together being a lighthearted 'one and done' type thing, but I'd also love an 'unexpectedly caught feels' plot as well, either mutual or one-sided.

If you'd like to go less porny, I'd love to see something where Julia and Phryne meet, and they just kind of fall into a subtle D/s step that starts being played out in public. For instance, maybe they meet at a conference of some kind and Phryne starts ordering Julia to do little things, which Julia complies with immediately, and builds up to larger asks. Of course, if you want to make something like that porny, you are more than welcome to as well!

Kathryn Janeway doms Benjamin Sisko
Rating: Explicit

If you want to hand wave away the ending of DS9 for this, that is totally cool. Or do a 'Sisko came back the next day' sort of thing. Or set the fic before the ending of DS9. It's all good! Janeway and Sisko can be having a one night stand or being in a long-term relationship or whatever. I'd love to see Sisko being a little surprised at Kathryn wanting to do femdom, but being willing to try it out, and then being surprised by how much he likes it. Overall I'm just imaging a fun, playful time for these two together (although I am a fan of the 'unexpectedly caught feels' trope as well, whether requited or one-sided).

Dune (2021)

Jessica doms Leto

I love this pairing because it tears Jessica between two masters - her duty as a Bene Gesserit and her position of a concubine (as well as actually being in love with Leto). I would love to see her domming Leto as a sort of Bene Gesserit test of his strength and worthiness. Maybe Bene Gesserit women are highly valuable partners, and before agreeing to allow Leto to take Jessica on as concubine, he has to pass this test. Or maybe when Jessica realizes that she's pregnant with a boy, she puts Leto through the paces to convince herself he's worth disobeying her orders for.

Addition DNW INformation: My DNWs relating to gore and other violent/bloodiness don't apply. Paul went through a very painful experience being tested, and you can make it as painful and brutal for Leto as well. Hell, if we winds up dead then he wasn't worth it, Jessica. Also my DNW regarding pregnancy doesn't apply, since I've specifically listed it as a plot point here.

Good Witch (TV)

Full disclosure: I have not seen all of Good Witch. I've only watched the last season and a couple of the movies, so most of the more intricate/earlier plot points will be lost on me. However I feel like Abigail is the perfect switch, and I was inspired to request her.

Abigail Pershing doms Donovan Davenport
Ratings: Explicit, Mature

Donovan just gives off 'Peg me' energy, and I think Abigail is the woman for the job! I think he would be a bratty, whiny sub and Abigail would be a 'take no bullshit' domme, so I can see him going 'Noooo... I don't want to be pegged' but then Abigail saying 'You've been talking about this for months, and now you're backing out? No, Abigail knows what you want, you whiny brat.'

He doesn't have to be pegged if you're not into writing that, but I'd like the dynamic above in whatever they do. If you'd like to write something less explicit, I'd love something where Abigail is fully dressed while doling out some punishment/funishment and Donovan is left very aroused with no release. Orgasm denial would be fantastic Or maybe she just beats him until he agrees to go to Tuscany with her.

Cassie Nightingale doms Abigail Pershing

Because most of what I've watched has been towards the end of the series I don't think I've seen Abigail at her worst, but I've been told she made a lot of trouble for the residents of Middleton! I'd love to see Cassie correcting her, in that loving, Earth-mother way that Cassie has about her.

If you want to write a bit of a parody, I'd love for Cassie to dole out punishments while saying cryptic shit that Abigail doesn't understand and never actually makes sense in the fic, and eventually Abigail just stops being a brat because Cassie's 'wsidom' is driving her insane.

Star Trek: Alternate Original Series

Nyota Uhura doms Leonard McCoy

McCoy is so high strung and Uhura is just so high strung and beautiful, and I'd love to see her domming the shit out of McCoy. I can see her as a strict but patient domme, maybe occasionally a little cruel?

Rachel still dies, and Jake reflects on his relationship with her.

Rachel takes up Crayak's offer to eliminate Jake. Through hot cousin action? Maybe.

Jake has a hair kink, which Rachel increasingly becomes aware of. Maybe she deliberately cut it short to piss him off?

Jake Berenson/Rachel/Marco

I can just totally see Marco having crushes on both of them, especially earlier in the series. And later on, I can see him having this awkward, genuine love for both of them, while being wary about how off-the-rails they're both becoming. I'd prefer for them all to come together at the same time, or have Jake/Rachel as the existing leg of the relationship before Marco joins.

Some ideas are:

Marco catches them in the act (even if it's just kissing) and is weirded out, aroused and heart broken. Or maybe he just figures it out based on circumstantial evidence and confronts one or both of them.

Marco rakes Jake over the coals because he keeps sending Rachel on the most dangerous missions. Things evolve from there.

Downton Abbey

Mary Crowley/Edith Crowley

They bring the worst out in each other, and it is beautiful to behold! Only someone who is that close, that knows you so well, can possibly push all the buttons to make you a monster, if only temporarily.

Some ideas are:

Hate sex after any dispute in the series, or after one you make up

After the end of series six, they begin to understand each other a bit better and fall in love with each other. Or maybe one falls in love with the other and it is unrequited. However they have their duty to Downton Abbey, to their parents, and they really can't get divorces. It is terribly bittersweet, how they've come so far much too late.

End of series, Mary has scared Bertie away and also Henry won't stop racing, so she breaks up with him. Mary and Edith reconcile, and bemoan the sad status of their lives, and things happen from there.

Dune (2021)

Paul Atreides/Jessica

Paul is 15 in the movie, so my 'no underage' is waived for this pairing, but please don't make Paul pre-pubescent. Also, a specific DNW for this fandom is please don't make Leto an abusive asshole. He can be preoccupied, distant, snippy, putting the welfare of Caladan before his family, whatever, just not a rapist/wife-and-child beater/intentional and obvious super bad guy..

I have to admit, I don't have many ideas for this pairing, but my mind is full of want for them. Their story is just so intense from the get go - Jessica giving birth to Paul despite the Bene Gesserit telling her she needs to produce a daughter, teaching him arts that are only supposed to be available to women, etc. And then, of course, you know, with Leto dying...

Some ideas are:

Something set when Paul and Jessica are hanging out with the Fremen.

Something involving Paul's training. Maybe Jessica accidentally peaks into some horny boy thoughts/feelings or something like that, or they experience some sort of very intense mental connection...

AU where Leto doesn't die. Maybe he gets married to form a political alliance and this drives a wedge between him and Jessica and Paul.

Also I am currently reading the book, so if you want to incorporate anything from there, I am down for that.

Murdoch Mysteries

Ruby Ogden/Julia Ogden/William Murdoch

I just love how Ruby's character contrasts so well with Julia's (and William's). I can picture her being so completely free-spirited that her attraction/love for Julia doesn't bother her at all, yet at the same time being wise enough to realize that Julia only feels sisterly affection for her. Or maybe Julia has very deeply buried feelings for Ruby that she's afraid of.

If you decide to write the trio, I have a couple of thoughts:

Ruby could use William to get to Julia. If it's earlier in the series, maybe Ruby is ridiculously aggressive towards William, causing Julia to up-the-ante in competition with her, which leads to a threesome.

Maybe Ruby suffers some misfortune after William and Julia get married, and has to live with them. Maybe this leads to a threesome, or to a full-fledged OT3.

Ruby Ogden/Julia Ogden

If you decide to write the duo, some ideas are:

Ruby does her best to dissuade Julia from marrying Darcy. Maybe she confesses her feelings, maybe they steal his car and go on a cross-country trip, whatever.

Maybe during her psychiatrist training, Julia discovers her incestuous feelings for her sister, or Ruby confesses them to her, or something.

Ruby tries to seduce Julia when Julia is single or between Darcy and William. Julia is shocked, tells her it's unnatural, blah blah blah. Ruby just smiles knowingly and tells Julia she'll always think about this moment. And later, when Julia is married to Darcy or William, it's all she can think about. She can't be happy in her marriage because she's always thinking of ruby and what could have been. If you want to go for this, I am totally down with Ruby having actually casted some sort of curse on Julia to make her miserable.

Also, if you happened to match on me for art and you're going 'What is this shit?', I apologise. I really do want art, but I know nothing about art other than I am impressed when people can create something better than stick figures. Or even when their stick figures have straight lines. I am incredibly easily impressed, and can only hope that if you need inspiration that you're able to pick something out of my rambling.

Jeffrey Sinclair & Delenn

I love how thoughtful and spiritual/religious they both are. Still waters run deep, and there is a lot of unexplored depth for the both of them. I'd love to see something where they have a discussion on faith or spirituality. Or perhaps something from Delenn's P.O.V before Jeffrey discovers he is Valen. Maybe she has doubts about his readiness, or maybe she thinks he is perfect and can't wait to get this thing started. Or maybe canon divergence where Jeffrey isn't too late and he catches her before she undergoes her metamorphosis.

Jeffrey Sinclair & None

I adore Jeffrey and introspective character pieces, and I will take anything about him! Maybe there's something from his time with the Jesuits, or at the academy (what did he look like when he was young?), maybe that 'death wish' that Garibaldi talked to him about, or while he's the ambassador to Minbar/training the Rangers, or when he goes back in time to become Valen. I feel like there's a lot to explore, and I am here for any of it!

Talia Winters & None

I love how fragile Talia is, especially as she wrestles with Psi Corps and her role on the station. Much like Jeffrey, I am here for whatever you want to create for her! Maybe her experience when she first realized she was a telepath, or her wrestling with her allegiance to Psi Corps while Susan disdains her for it. Maybe something with her looking at a family, and wistfully wondering what it would have been like to be normal. I especially love angst when it comes to Talia, so that is very welcome!

Glaucus/Lydon

O.K., that wrestling scene did things for me! I just loved how Lydon was a bit put-off by encountering the man that Nydia loved instead of him, but Glaucus was just so friendly and charming that Lydon couldn't help but like/grudgingly respect him after that. They're both honest, kind men, with Glaucus being skilled socially and Lydon being a champion in the arena, and I think they could compliment each other nicely. I'm also into Nydia/Ione, so if you want to use the idea that they get dumped by their girlfriends at the same time and need consolation, I am here for that too!

Prompts are:

What if Lydon, refusing to kill someone in the arena that he respected, had sprung Glaucus the night before the fight? They run off together in Glaucus' ship, and the next day they see Pompeii erupting in the distance.

So, the month that Pompeii erupted is widely considered to be late August, but some place it in November. If you want to use the less-widely accept date (or maybe just pretend Pompeii didn't erupt at all), maybe Glaucus secures fights in Rome for Lydon. Why? Maybe he discovers Lydon's noble plans to buy his father's freedom and wants to help. Maybe he even sets aside his dislike of gladiator fights and goes to see Lydon in Rome.

Maybe Lydon and/or Glaucus like wrestling so much they start seeking each other out to practice, and things evolve from there.

Ione/Nydia

There are a lot of sweet characters in this series, and I just adore how sweet and kind both of these women are! Especially how lovely Ione is when Nydia admits to her that she was part of the plot to break her and Glaucus up. Plus, there is something very iddy to me about a slave being in love with her kind mistress. If you want to make it a one-sided love/pining situation on Nydia's part, I'd love that too! I also like Glaucus/Lydon, so feel free to incorporate them if you like!

Prompts are:

After Ione's kindness towards Nydia after she reveals her scheming with Julia, Nydia's affections turn from Glaucus to Ione.

So, in the book, Nydia actually just jumps in the sea to kill herself at the end of the book. Maybe after the movie ends she tries to, but Glaucus and/or Ione stop her. Nydia feels terrible about her role in Glaucus' misfortune, but they assure her that everything is cool and OT3-ness happens from there.

Post-canon, Glaucus frees Nydia but to the astonishment of Glaucus and Ione, she still prefers to hang around and act like their slave, even though they don't treat her as such. Getting to the bottom of it, they discover she loves them both and that's why she doesn't want to live as a free woman.

I'm also totally O.K. for some pining in here somewhere. Maybe Nydia pines for both of them, maybe only Glaucus or Ione pine for Nydia, whatever way you want to do this is fine. It can be requited or unrequited. I'm here for the drama!

Star Trek: The Original Series

James T. Kirk/Janice Rand

The show gave us so little of them, but I want more! They had this very cute, hesitant, shy thing going on, and I want to give it a proper ending (or beginning). I'm happy with angst or fluff for this couple! Some prompts are:

Janice takes care of Jim's needs, being his yeoman, but I'd love to see a role reversal. Maybe James gives her a gift when he knows she's feeling down, or does something for her that makes her life a lot better.

Maybe Janice left The Enterprise after 'The Enemy Within' because Kirk's 'evil' side scared her. Kirk never knew this was the reason, and maybe later in life they get together to talk about it. Maybe they regret what could have been, or maybe they decide to start something.

Janice Rand & Nyota Uhura

This show definitely needs some more girl bonding, and I think these two would have an excellent friendship. Nyota comes off as a little more confidant while Janice sometimes seems to shrink into the background. Maybe Nyota gives her the courage to talk to James about his sometimes gruff treatment of her? Or maybe Nyota comforts her after the 'evil' Kirk from 'The Enemy Within' scares her? Or, for something that passes the Bechdel test, maybe they discuss their pasts, their hopes and dreams in Starfleet? Or they have an awesome, TOS style adventure on a planet. Feel free to combine this with Janice/Kirk if you want to.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Elim Garak/Julian Bashir

I don't think I need to explain why these two make such an awesome couple. From their first meeting there was sizzling chemistry! I'm happy to see them portrayed in a lighter manner, but I also like works that delve into their dark side, especially Garak's. Maybe Julian comes to realize that Garak is unable to love in the way that Julian wants to be loved? Maybe he comes across something from Garak's past that he can't get over?

Also, I've always been intrigued by the episode 'Our Man Bashir'. The writers seemed to break Julian and Garak up in favour of the Miles and Julian bromance, and when Garak and Julian come together again in this episode, Julian seems unusually peeved. I'd love a bit more of a backstory to that (other than the in-universe frustration at Garak ruining his holoprogram).

Elim Garak/Damar

Damar is such a straight-forward character compared to Garak, and I love his ascent. Damar starts off being a lot less likable than Garak (for obvious reasons) and then becomes a hero of the series. I'd love to see Garak playing a role in his ascent to greatness, whether it's a firm smack upside the head with a 'Think of Cardassia!' speech, or Garak playing a more subtle role to bring out the hero in Damar. Albert Rosenfield/Harry Truman

They definitely got off to a rough start, and that's what makes this ship so spicy! Extending Albert's stay in Twin Peaks for longer, maybe he becomes unexpectedly tipsy and Harry discovers that he's one of those huggy, lovey drunks and Albert kisses him. Or maybe Albert and Harry push each other's buttons so much they wind up in a brawl, which leads to more. Or maybe Albert comes to town after Cooper's disappearance, and they become attracted to each other.

To quote from the B5 wiki: While at the Academy, Sheridan met Jeffrey Sinclair for the first time when the first year cadet made the unfortunate mistake of getting his attention by spilling a tray of food on him. Since Sinclair was just a plebe at the time, and in Academy tradition it was every upperclassman’s duty to haze plebes, Sinclair later recalled that Sheridan dedicated his last year at the Academy to making his life a living hell. So, you can take the fact that they were both in the Academy together and run with it wherever! I like the antagonistic vibe it sets up for them, but maybe the food tray was part of something larger between them. Maybe Sinclair got Sheridan in trouble for his bullying, maybe Sheridan was attracted to Sinclair but couldn't admit it to himself, or maybe whatever.

During the pre-canon Martian Food Riots, Sinclair saves Sheridan and they wind up having a nice chat and smooth things over. At this point Jeffrey is married to Anna, so maybe he has an extra-marital affair, and when he thinks of her when he's commanding B5 he still feels guilt over it. Maybe, with Jeffrey gone, he thinks of all the other roads they could have taken together.

Sheridan was higher on the list of possible B5 commanders before the Minbari yanked Sinclair to the top. I'd love to see how this shook out on Sheridan's end - maybe he was bitter, maybe he tries to reach out to Sinclair to offer congratulations, and has to reassure an anxious Sinclair...

During season five's Day of the Dead Sheridan could be in the Brakiri zone of the ship and has a conversation/interlude with Sinclair. Even though he's not dead. Although technically he might be?

Time travel. It's too large and intimidating for my small mind to comprehend, but time travel might make this pairing a thing.

Something set during the time when Sinclair is training with the Minbari and Sheridan is station commander. Maybe there's a mission they have to collaborate on, maybe Sheridan asks Sinclair for advice on running the station, and Sinclair just shows up.

One of them gets tried for something, and the other is called upon to provide evidence for the defense (or maybe the prosecution)? Maybe after Sheridan becomes station commander, the warrior caste wants revenge for the damage he inflicted upon them.

Feel free to mix and match any of these ideas, or come up with better ones of your own!

Jeffrey Sinclair/Talia Winters

I like this pairings because Talia is in a very vulnerable place on Babylon 5 (Susan being rude towards her, Kosh playing games with her, having to question everything she's believed reguarding psycorps, etc), and Sinclair is just such a strong, gentle paternal figure that I can see Talia being very drawn towards him. If you want to make this couple unrequited pining on Talia's side, that speaks to me greatly, but also if you want to have them get together, I am here for that as well. Feel free to have background Susan/Talia and Jeffrey/Catherine.

Prompts are:

While having physical contact (whether it's accidental hand contact or they're having sex or whatever) Talia accidentally picks up on that hole in Sinclair's mind. Maybe it intrigues her, maybe it freaks her out. Maybe it's something that they try to work on together, and it changes the events of the series.

After Kelsey scans her in 'Mind War', Sinclair takes her out to dinner/for drinks because he can sense that she needs someone to talk to. Things evolve from there. Maybe it's a typical 'OMG I slept with my coworker' sort of situation that neither of them deals with well.

Maybe Bester tasks Talia with keeping an eye on Sinclair, or he wants to know what Sinclair is doing regarding a salient telepath issue on the station.

Maybe Talia becomes more powerful (masters telekinesis? something like that?) and Psi Corps tries to hunt her down, but Sinclair is there to keep her safe. Or maybe she's accused of a crime (either by Psi Corps or Earthforce or whoever) and Jeffrey has to make sure she doesn't go down for it.

Kelsey/Talia Winters

'Who is Kelsey?' you may ask. She appeared in Season One, Episode Six - Mind War and... promptly dies. Which sucks, because I think she would have made a great foil for Talia ~~and I want more femslash opportunities with the two of them~~. So I'd love to see them in a very antagonistic relationship, or one where Kelsey is manipulative and gaslighting, or something that is bittersweet.

Prompts are:

Kelsey and Talia growing up together in Teeptown. Maybe they had a great relationship as children, grew into lovers, and then Kelsey became more radicalized and/or power-hungry. I'd love to see the evolution of their relationship and characters!

Canon divergence - Kelsey lives, and begins terrorizing Talia after 'Mind Wars'. Maybe after Talia is shipped back to Earth at the send of S2, Psi Corps does manage to bring Talia back, and her handler is Kelsey.

S5 'Day of the Dead' - When Talia becomes trapped in the Brakiri zone of the ship, she sees Kelsey.

Susan/Talia is also cool to have in here, especially if your plot needs some hurt/comfort in it, I'd just like the focus to be on Talia/Kelsey.

Le Bureau des Légendes

Prune Debailly/Nadia El Mansour

By the time the series ended, it seemed like Nadia and Prune were kind of friendly towards each other. I'd love to see a fic that explores both Prune's relationship with her father, and incorporates her having some unrequited pining for Nadia and exploring their off-screen relationship. I mean, since Guillaume was in Syria for 6 years, he didn't see her from the ages of 12-ish to 18-ish, which must have been hard for Prune. And then she discovers that he's had this love affair with a beautiful woman while he was busy not being a father, and maybe in addition to being attracted to Nadia, part of the pining is fueled by the fact that Nadia is the closer to Guillame than Prune is for most of the series. I'd love to see her and Nadia dealing with Guillaume's 'death', and Prune's refusal to talk to him when he's hiding out in Russia. Or maybe Nadia's death is a bit of a catalyst to bring Guillaume and Prune together to sort out their complicated relationship as they mourn together. Background Nadia/Guillaume is O.K.!

Nadia El Mansour/Samara

I'm going to admit, I didn't care for Guillaume/Nadia. I just kept screaming at the screen, 'Stay away from that man!' So I'd love to see Nadia and Samara meeting in Russia, and Samara breaking down Nadia's love for Guillaume, essentially coming to the point of 'He's brought so much pain into your life, why do you keep holding on?' And maybe Nadia gets in trouble with pro-Assad Russia over things she teaches in her classes, and Samara has to help in some way. But Guillaume is the only one who can get her out of the country safely, she after their passionate love affair, Nadia has to leave Samara behind. Or maybe you have a happier plot in mind. I just want an excuse to bring these two together!

Jean-Jacques Angel/Mikhail Dmitrievich Karlov

This relationship, at least on JJA's side, was super intense, and I'd love anything that went into that a bit more deeply! Maybe something focusing on JJA's time as a double agent for the KGB and exctly how traumatizing and demeaning it was for him to be so out-of-control of his destiny in a foreign land. Also, at the end of the series, I kind of wanted Karlov to take his revenge on JJA instead of Malotru, so an AU where they have some sort of battle royale would be awesome too! I just want them to have a weird, fucked up relationship that has sexual overtones.

Crossover

Julia Ogeden (Murdoch Mysteries)/Phryne Fisher (Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries)

I just absolutely love the idea of these two crossing paths! They're both educated, modern women fighting against the social norms of their times and doing it with style! I know their time frames are separated by a couple of decades, but I'm completely fine if you want to ignore this. Or have some weird invention that allows them to travel in time. Or just have older Julia with younger Phryne. However you can make this work, I am here for it.

Prompts are:

Phyrne shows up in Toronto doing her private detective thing, probably getting on William's nerves but charming Julia in the process.

Through time travel, Julia gets sent to 1920s Australia. How does she see the progress (or lack thereof) for women in the commonwealth? Perhaps Phryne and her join forces to solve a murder, or doing some womens' rights work. Or maybe Julia just goes to Australia to escape the Canadian winters for a while and she and Phryne meet and have more fun adventures.

They meet in another location. Maybe in Austria, when Julia is doing psychiatry with Dr. Freud. Maybe in some random location that Phryne flew off to at the end of S3. Wherever, whenever, they're meant to be together!

Downton Abbey

Edith Crawley/Laura Edmunds

I'm not going to lie - I wanted one of the Crawley sisters to be a lesbian, and the show didn't deliver. I think Edith and Laura would make an adorable couple. They meet when Edith is pursuing a little independence from her family and class, and when she realizes she wants to ahve a purpose in life. I can see Laura being a guiding influence on how to live life as a modern woman. I'm happy to have this ship as fluffy or as angsty as you like, and I'm always happy to have an AU where Edith and Bertie didn't work out and Edith pursues life as a modern woman.

Prompts are:

Edith and Laura are pranking Cassandra Jones by coming up with the most ridiculous Agony Aunt letter they can think of. It probably involves someone's same sex close acquaintance getting a little too touchy-feely. They laugh, wonder if they dare publish something so risque, and then get a little touchy-feeely and risque themselves.

Laura is in trouble, and turns to Edith for help. Edith welcomes her to Brancaster Castle, where Laura just takes some time to breath. She begins to see the cracks forming in Edith's marriage (for whatever reason) and is there to console her, where they begin to fall in love. Alternatively, if you like writing horror/paaranormal stuff, the castle is haunted/starts causing people to murder each other, and Edith and Laura are the only survivors. Or maybe one or both of them dies.

Edith begins working full-time as owner of the paper, and becomes involved in hunting down stories and leads. There's something she's so interested in that she drags Laura and they go and see it together. Or maybe Edith decides to open up an office in a different country, and she takes Laura as her editor.

Mary Crawley/Anna Smith

Despite the last names, wherever you want to write this ship in canon is fine, whether both (or one of them) are married. I love how devoted Anna is to Mary, and if it's your thing, I love the idea of Mary abusing her station or being callous towards Anna, and Anna being tormented by her love for the ice queen. Or something happier is fantastic as well!

Prompts are:

Canon divergence where Mr. Bates winds up hanging for the murder of his ex-wife. Anna is inconsolable, and the tables turn as Mary dotes upon her.

Jealousy - perhaps until Pamuk, Anna and Mary had been each other's only sexual experiences. Anna pines for Mary, who has begun to seriously set her sights on marriage, and ruins every possible romance she has. How this effects the events of the series is up to you, and I have no end game for this. I just like the idea.

Mary and Anna have a sexual relationship throughout the series, and it isn't until Mary marries Henry Talbot that it comes to everyone's attention. Once again, no end game for this, however you want to play it.

Matthew Crawley/Mary Crawley/Thomas Barrow

I admit it, I'm in this OT3 for the angst factor. I love the idea of Matthew wanting to see Mary with another man, and picking Thomas. Thomas agrees because he's in love with Matthew, and the entire thing is so awkward for Mary and Thomas but Matthew is just so in lust with the idea that he doesn't notice. Maybe Mary gets pregnant, and doesn't know which one of them is the father, but after Matthew's death they begrudgingly heal the wounds that Matthew's sexual appetite has caused, and it's their happy little secret.

That's the idea I have in my head, but really, I'm happy with anything filled with angst and awkwardness.

Harry Potter

Draco Malfoy/Neville Longbottom

I just find of fell in love with Neville/Draco because while I adore Harry/Draco, the idea of Neville possibly being the other Boy Who Lived just broke my brain and made me consider that, instead, it would have been these two together. And I love how Neville comes into his own by the end of the series while still being the kind, compassionate boy we know and love.

Prompts are:

Neville is writing a book on the history of the second wizarding war. He wants to interview Draco, but Draco is a bit of a recluse and refuses, until... maybe Neville charms Narcissa with their shared passion for flowers, and she convinces Draco to do the interview in exchange for some rare plant she hasn't been able to grow? It's what I came up with, but I'm sure there are a million better ideas.

Neville wants to collect his parents' memories, in an attempt to get to know them. It's difficult, since wandering around in the minds of those cursed to insanity is a delicate operation, with high probability of harm to both Alice and Frank as well as the person collecting the memories. Draco is the finest Legilimens around, and agrees to do it.

Glaucus/Lydon

O.K., that wrestling scene did things for me! I just loved how Lydon was a bit put-off by encountering the man that Nydia loved instead of him, but Glaucus was just so friendly and charming that Lydon couldn't help but like/grudgingly respect him after that. They're both honest, kind men, with Glaucus being skilled socially and Lydon being a champion in the arena, and I think they could compliment each other nicely. I'm also into Nydia/Ione, so if you want to use the idea that they get dumped by their girlfriends at the same time and need consolation, I am here for that too!

Prompts are:

After Ione's kindness towards Nydia after she reveals her scheming with Julia, Nydia's affections turn from Glaucus to Ione.

You know that scene where Antonius has that drug-fuelled orgy in the Temple of Isis? In the book, Nydia was part of that (although she hated it). I'd love to see the same thing for Ione, with Nydia taking an active part. Nydia falls in love with Ione and tries to free Ione from Arbaces and his cult.

Glaucus/Lydon/Nydia

What a messy love ~~quadrangle~~ triangle we weave! The odd one out here is Ione, unfortunately, and you can deal with that however you want. I love these three together because I adore the noble, kind nature of all their characters, and I think they would have a peaceful, harmonious home. Not to mention, Lydon loving Nydia, Nydia loving Glaucus, and Glaucus loving to wrestle with Lydon... it really comes together!

Prompts are:

Maybe instead of the entire necklace plot with Julia, Arbaces gives Nydia some of those sweet hallucinogens that he gave Antonius (remember that trippy orgy? Yeah...) and tells her that it will deliver Glaucus' heart to her. She slips him the drugs, and they have sex. Arbaces convinces Ione to go over to Glaucus' home early the next morning, and finds them togetehr and promptly dumps Glaucus. Glaucus, aghast at his behaviour and never doubting Nydia for a moment, is heartbroken and ashamed.Nydia is also ashamed at her own behaviour, and runs into Lydon's arms. Well, yada yada, volcano and such, Glaucus, Nydia and Lydon all wind up in the same place when Glaucus' ship docks, and they discover Nydia is pregnant. Nydia confesses what she did to both of them, and eventually they wind up an OT3.

The night before Glaucus is flung into the arena, Nydia and Lydon spring him and they run for the hills, or get away in Glaucus' boat. Then the next day, they see Pompeii exploding behind them. If they went by land they wouldn't get far enough away to avoid the blast, but hey, this is fan fiction, and I don't care if you don't.

Clodius/Glaucus

There's something incredibly charming about these two - mainly how freely Glaucus gives Clodius money, and Clodius has no shame about it. Yet, the end of the movie redeems Clodius' character quite a bit, and gives him more depth. He is, we learn, able to care about something other than money.

Prompts are:

Canon divergence - Clodius makes it out of Pompeii, but Julia doesn't. He becomes a Cynic (or follows another ascetic philosophy), leading a life of poverty and forswearing all pleasures. Glaucus finds him and snaps him out of it.

Clodius runs up a huge gambling debt, and his debtors come for blood. Glaucus tries to defend Clodius, but also gets the shit kicked out of him. However, this makes Clodius fall in love with Glaucus.

Something set pre-canon. Maybe they met when they were younger, were attracted to each other, and fooled around until Glaucus ended it, for whatever reason. Clodius continually leeches money off of him because he's still bitter.

Murdoch Mysteries

Julia Ogden/Sally Pendrick

I love my femme fatales, and Sally hits all the right spots for me! She's so unctuous and so comfortable with herself that I can easily imagine her slipping past Julia's defenses and seducing her, like she did with William. While I don't have any prompts in particular, I'd love this pairing in any direction you want to take it. Maybe Sally begins seducing Julia because she sees a hint of attraction and wants to have fun while ruining James' life, or maybe she begin seducing Julia with a purpose and falls in love, or maybe she just uses Julia for her own nefarious ends! Maybe she's seducing William at the same time, and there's an awkward Julia/William/Sally love triangle going on.

Pirates of the Caribbean

This pairing is really summed up by Jack's speech to Elizabeth in DMC about how she desires freedom. She's a pirate on the inside, and Jack can obviously see and love/admire that. I especially love how they keep screwing each other over to achieve their own goals, but it would also be nice to see them make unselfish decisions driven by their love for each other. Or if not love, their weird whatever-you-want-to-call it relationship. Sweet is lovely, but I'm also super down for their messy, complicated attraction which may not be 'true love' but is pretty hot. For Will and Henry, I don't really care what you do with them. Write them out of canon, kill them off, send both of them to an orphanage, follow canon and have Jack and Elizabeth have a super messy situation with them.... whatever.

Prompts are:

After AWE, Elizabeth decides to join Jack's crew. You can feel free to disregard Barbossa 'stealing' the Pearl from Jack at the end of the movie.

After AWE, Elizabeth is prevented from inheriting her father's estate, either through law or political maneuvering, or whatever. She turns to prostitution to support herself, and Jack comes across her.

AU where they first meet when Jack has a scheme to impersonate her fiancee from London, who she's never met but has been betrothed to for political/financial reasons. Elizabeth comes to realize that he isn't who he claims to be, and is dragged into pirating adventures when Jack's enemies find out where he is. Or, to put it in the PotC timeline, perhaps her father doesn't die in DMC and when she comes home arranges her betrothal, not seeing her marriage to William as an actual thing.

Twin Peaks

Harry Truman

I don't know why I love Harry Truman so much. He doesn't get a lot of character development, screen time, or really even seem to do much other than tag along with Cooper and act stupid over Josie. So I'd be happy with anything focusing on him. Maybe a bit of his backstory, like what happened to his mother, what was it like growing up in Twin Peaks, did he really want to be a sheriff or is he just blindly following family tradition because he doesn't know what else to do? Maybe something set post-S2, dealing with the fallout of Cooper's disappearance and the general creepiness that is Twin Peaks. Maybe something set more around the S3 period - maybe Twin Peaks made him sick?

Also, I will ship Harry with Margaret's log, so if you want to add a pairing with him, I'm happy with anything. Harry/Josie, Harry/Cooper, Harry/Hank, Harry/Ben, Harry/Catherine, Harry/Log - I am down with anything.

Harry Truman/Dale Cooper

I love these two because Cooper's enthusiasm and big city ways complement Harry's small-town sheriff station quite nicely. Cooper is magnetic, and potentially off-putting, while Harry has that kind of 'aw shucks' country boy charm. I think they both have a lot to teach each other, and at the end of the day, their integrity and love of the law bring them together.

Prompts are:

At the end of S2, Harry and the doppelgänger had a torrid encounter. Somewhere along the line Harry realizes that it’s not the actual Cooper, and Cooper goes running off. Or he and Cooper become an item and settle into domestic 'bliss' except Cooper keeps abusing him in subtle ways, and eventually Harry realizes that Cooper isn't Cooper. Harry can't say anything because the doppelgänger threatens him or maybe Harry just wanted Cooper so bad that he can't bear to let him go. The doppelgänger is feeding on Harry's misery, so he's pretty happy.

At the end of S3, when Cooper realizes he can’t save Laura, he decides that he can at least save Harry whose ill-health is a result of the influence of BOB and the Black Lodge.

Anachronistic crackfic. Dale and Harry match on Grindr while Cooper is on the case.

Relationship problem fic! In an AU where Cooper doesn't go to the Black Lodge, they try to do a long distance relationship. Except, maybe Cooper has issues falling in love wherever he goes, and maybe Harry can't seem to say no when propositioned. This idea is ripe for infidelity, angst and possibly even breaking up if you want to go that route. Or they can resolved their differences and issues.

Instead of the fanon 'Cooper stays in Twin Peaks with Harry', maybe Harry moves to Pittsburgh with Cooper.

Ben or Jerry decide to run for sheriff during the next election. Cooper takes some vacation to help Harry with the campaign (which maybe he's never had to do before because it's been uncontested).

Audrey Horne/Denise Bryson

I can just see Audrey being a little confused and stunned at Denise, while also being deeply intrigued. Denise would undoubtedly find Audrey attractive, and they both just have this sense of otherness to them that really connects them. Audrey desperately wants something more exciting than what her small town can offer, and Denise can sense a kindred spirit who doesn't fit in.

My main idea for this pair is that Audrey gets accepted into the Academy, and Denise winds up being her mentor. I see Audrey as still holding onto this idealized version of Cooper that she's chasing, but maybe after a while of working with Denise, her interest in him fades as she gets to know Denise. If you go down a route like this, I'd love some Audrey & Cooper moments as well.

Ben Horne/Eileen Hayward

This is one of the few S2 subplots that I actually got in to, and there isn’t enough fic about it! Prompts are:

Ben and Eileen when they were young. What is their history?

Ben and Eileen after S2. Does Ben badger the Haywards until they slap a restraining order on him? Do Eileen and Ben leave their spouses and run away to the Caribbean?

Somehow Ben and Eileen come together during his crazed civil war period, and he tries to romance her like she’s a general’s daughter. Maybe Eileen plays along.

Dear author,

I love pining. I love the angst, the uncertainty, all of the self-conscious emotions it stills up. Perhaps most of all, I love how it colours our perceptions. Every word and gesture from the person being pined over can be analyzed to death, and often swings from 'This is a definite sign that they're in love with me too' to 'It means they hate me and are only politely putting up with me because they have to'. The slightest thing can send the pine-e into breathless joy, or into a terrible pit of darkness. It's an emotional roller coaster, and I want to be along for the ride!

I'm happy with any rating, any tone (extremely depressing to fluffity fluffiness), and if you want to write something porny, go nuts with the kinky stuff that doesn't violate my DNWs. I've offered prompts, but if you have a better idea you want to write I want you do do that instead.

I'd like them to be somewhat canonically believable (playing into the entire 'I like fics that focus on the bad parts of a character' thing) but hey, maybe the hypercritical character could be verbally abusive to their partner. Or maybe someone is just emotionally checked out of the relationship, even though they really do love that person, and it causes the other person grief.

Babylon 5

Jeffrey Sinclair/Talia Winters, unrequited

I love Talia because she grows into this conflicted woman, struggling with her role as a telepath and her relationship to Psi Corps. I can totally see her having a crush on Jeffrey because he has that strong, yet gentle fatherly vibe about him. Whether it's unrequited because he doesn't feel the same way, or because it goes against regulations, or he's just got too much on his plate, it's all good. Or maybe she picks up a passing sexual attraction from him, but when she confesses it's a full-blown love confession and he just doesn't have the same intensity of feelings for her, so he rebuffs her. Or maybe she sees him interested in someone else (Delenn? Garibaldi? Catherine? Kosh? Literally anyone else) and her hopes and dreams are crushed. I'd love to see Talia in some sort of angsting situation here!

Le Bureau des Légendes

Prune Debailly/Nadia El Mansour (Prune pines), unrequited

Nadia is a beautiful, charming woman, and when we see Prune in season 5, she really seems to have warmed up to her. I'd love to see something set during S5, with Nadia and Prune dealing with Guillaume's 'death' together and growing closer. There's a lot of threads for Prune to deal with here - having feelings for Nadia, dealing with her father being 'dead' and then not so dead. Prune refused to communicate with Guillaume for a while, and perhaps part of it could be because she's jealous that Nadia's attention is being taken by him?

The Last Days of Pompeii (1984)

Glaucus/Ione/Nydia, Nydia pining, requited, unrequited

Part One Part Two Part Three

I'd love to have Nydia come to pine not only for Glaucus, but for Ione as well. All three of them are such gentle, kind spirits that it's hard not to ship them together. Perhaps while in Ione's service, her jealousy turns into admiration/adoration for her? Or perhaps after Pompeii, the three of them settle down together (in the book, Glaucus and Ione wind up in Athens afterwards)? Maybe Nydia finds contentment in being close to them and doesn't necessarily need them to return her affections, or maybe they all get together, or maybe Nydia becomes terribly jealous of both of them and destroys both of their lives over it. Steer this ship where you will, author!

Mad Men

Michael Ginsberg/Peggy Olson, Michael pining, unrequited

Michael is such a tragic character, and his relationship with Peggy is at once confusing and heartbreaking. I'd love to see Michael's mental illness coming into play here, whether he's pining because he thinks Peggy is a Martian as well and thus his 'soul mate', or because he thinks they need to repopulate the planet together, or maybe he completely misinterprets Peggy's actions/words and thinks she reciprocates his affections. Or maybe something from Peggy's P.O.V., where he keeps making these odd gestures and she doesn't know what to think. Whether it comes to a head and Peggy has to rebuff him (and maybe he doesn't understand that) or she never understands that he's interested in her and there's just the sound of a sad violin in the background while he pines. And feel free to do some sort of canon divergence as well. Not everything needs to end with a nipple getting chopped off!

Murdoch Mysteries

Emily Grace/Julia Ogden, Emily pining, unrequited

Ugh, I just have a thing for mentor/mentee relationships, and these two are no exception! I'd love to see Emily confessing her feelings, because I think she's the straight-forward kind of boss babe that would do so. Or maybe she's not consciously aware of her affection, and starts getting competitive with William for Julia's attention, and William and Julia are just scratching their heads. Anything with Emily being headstrong and determined is a win in my books! Also, setting it in any time where William and Julia are broken up or far apart is also great.

Star Trek: The Original Series

Spock/Female Romulan Commander|Unnamed Romulan Commander 2, both pining, requited, unrequited

Who the hell am I talking about, you may ask. I am specifically referring to this unnamed Romulan commander, who appeared in Season 3, Episode 4, 'The Enterprise Incident'. Since Memory Alpha refers to her as 'Commander 2', I've piped her for nomination purposes. I just loved the tension between their characters, and the bittersweetness with how they left each other. I'd love to see what happens to her after the episode. Or maybe, going with the entire bit about how military secrets are fleeting but they've got something special going on, maybe they meet many years later. Cloaking isn't such a big deal anymore, and they laugh about the entire incident. Maybe, whatever the scenario, they have a happy ending, or a bittersweet one. Maybe they have a clandestine love affair because they can't openly be together. Whatever you want to write, I'm here for it!

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Ezri Dax/Lenara Kahn, both pining, requited, unrequited

So, the entire thing with Jadzia and Lenara was super angsty. I think this pairing actually levels up the angst! Ezri, who is still figuring out the entire 'trill' thing, not knowing if her feelings for Lenara are hers or Jadzia's or Torias', and Lenara Just Can't Quit that Dax symbiont, no matter how many different hosts it goes through. Maybe Lenara has changed her mind and is willing to be exiled from Trill society to be with Ezri and now Ezri/Dax isn't so sure. Maybe they known they're both pining, but both refusing to go against Trill customs so they just simmer.

What to do with Julian? Eh. Whatever you want, really. Maybe he and Ezri break up before Lenara comes aboard, maybe they break up while Ezri sorts out her issues with Lenara, maybe Ezri cheats on him, maybe he breaks up with her to be with Garak and Ezri is kind of sad, maybe one of them cheats on each other, maybe you write Julian out of canon entirely. Whatever you wanna do!

Twin Peaks

Harry Truman/Andy Brennan, Andy pining, unrequited

The entire 'Tell Harry I didn't cry' thing made me feel so bad for Andy! I think he looks up to Harry and wants his approval, and I've love to see that taken into pining territory. Maybe it started when they were in school together, maybe Andy decided to join the force because he knew that Harry was on his way to becoming sheriff. I see Andy's pining as being very sweet, where he knows that Harry would never return his affections, but is happy that he gets to see him at work every day. And I super think that Andy has enough room in his heart to pine for Harry and to truly love Lucy as well, so feel free to add in some Lucy/Andy as well!

Harry Truman/Denise Bryson, Harry pining, requited, unrequited

I just love the idea of small town Harry Truman meeting Denise and just having his mind blown! And then, maybe realizing that he's into Denise, even though small town sheriffs shouldn't go for that type of woman! I mean, the show is set in the 1989 - Denise has to be made out of strong stuff to openly crossdress, and who doesn't love a confidant woman? We know Denise likes women, and that is reason enough to have this unrequited. However, you can also go the route of having her make an exception for Harry (maybe she just wants a fling with him and he's heartbroken when she leaves town), or maybe she's like 'I do make exceptions to my rule... but I'm not doing it for you.' Or maybe they fool around while Cooper is being held hostage at Dead Dog Farm. Wherever you want to go, I'm here for Harry's sweet, confused pining!

I love Julia's kindness and stubborn, confidant nature, and I'd really like to see her with anyone in the series. Whether it's a fluffy romance with William, or a psychological nightmare with James Gilles, or a forbidden romance with Emily Grace, I just want more Julia! Also, if you're going to write her with someone other than William, I am absolutely cool with infidelity, if you want to take it there. (Also, if you're planning on writing some femmeslash, a pairing I'd be interested in seeing is Sally Pendrick/Julia. I'll love anything I get, but just in case you hadn't thought of that one before, I thought I'd put it in your mind.

I know that Kate Mulgrew didn't want Janeway to have an epic romance on the show, but damn it I wanna see her getting some love! I'll ship her with any of the main crew, with an Alien of the Week, dysfunctional or happy, whatever! I particularly love seeing how she behaves in love. As the captain she is at times maternal, but she never forgets that she is in charge. I like to see this softening in her when she finds that special someone, but not completely losing the intelligence and independence which makes her Captain Janeway!

I see Daisuke as a bit of a mirror in relationships, so if paired with someone like Yamato or Miyako, I see their relationship being very... fiery and full of arguments. Whereas with someone like Hikari, I see Daisuke dipping in more to his softer side.

I'd love a discussion of religion between the two of them. With Jeffrey's background with the Jesuits and Delenn's role in the religious caste I'd love to see Minbari religious ideals meet with Catholicism.

Something surrounding Delenn bringing Jeffrey aboard and probing him with the triluminary. Delenn feeling a connection with him and vowing to protect Jeffrey until he learned the truth, maybe Jeffrey dreaming of Delenn even though he doesn't know why.

Something with two timelines. Delenn is on love with Jeffrey/Valen but knows that in order to fulfill the timeline she has to be with John. Maybe she's with Jeffrey/Valen while she sleeps or maybe the two Delenn's have a connection and can see each other's lives. Or maybe Jeffrey/Valen does.

Delenn/Talia Winters
Talia just seems so fragile, and Delenn is such a strong, empathetic character that this pairing really appeals to me! I'd love to see anything with Delenn soothing Talia's fears/unease throughout the series, maybe Delenn offers to let Talia lightly scan her so she can pick up on Delenn's soothing mindset.

Elizabeth Lochley/John Sheridan
I love them both because they're strong headed characters, and I can see why their marriage only lasted three months.

Any fic centered around their marriage - their first meeting, their actual wedding, how their marriage fell apart so quickly, when they decided to divorce, their sadness after the divorce... anything around that would be great!

Maybe a fic where John tells Elizabeth that he's getting married again. He has some pre-wedding jitters, and they wind up cheating together right before the wedding. Or maybe they try to cheat and everything goes so badly that they don't actually wind up having sex, and it makes them both feel better about the divorce/John's upcoming marriage.

Perhaps a piece centered around Elizabeth and her jealousy over Delenn. Not jealous that John and Delenn are together, but jealousy that Delenn has so many characteristics that Elizabeth doesn't have, and Elizabeth wonders if those are the reasons she's still single and why her marriage failed.

To combine the Elizabeth/Zoe pairing I also requested, maybe a piece set during their marriage where Elizabeth and John both realize that she's not over Zoe, and that she can't make a relationship with until she exercises Zoe's ghost.

Elizabeth Lochley/Zoe
The angst! Oh gods! Zoe is someone who is clearly important to Elizabeth, and it would be lovely to explore any part of their relationship.

How they met and got into drugs together.

Elizabeth keeps dreaming of Zoe, driving her to distraction.

Maybe an AU where Zoe isn't dead, and comes to Elizabeth for help.

Jeffrey Sinclair/John Sheridan
In-series interactions between them didn't leave me with a lot of ideas, so I'm pulling a lot from beta canon I found on the wiki. Italics are things I have copied and pasted from there.

While at the Academy, Sheridan met Jeffrey Sinclair for the first time when the first year cadet made the unfortunate mistake of getting his attention by spilling a tray of food on him. Since Sinclair was just a plebe at the time, and in Academy tradition it was every upperclassman’s duty to haze plebes, Sinclair later recalled that Sheridan dedicated his last year at the Academy to making his life a living hell. So anything set at the Academy is awesome!

Sheridan was higher on the list of possible B5 commanders before the Minbari yanked Sinclair to the top. I'd love to see them talking about this - maybe Sheridan was bitter, maybe he tries to reassure an anxious Sinclair that he will be fine...

During season five's Day of the Dead Sheridan could be in the Brakiri zone of the ship and has a conversation/interlude with Sinclair. Even though he's not dead. Although technically he might be?

Time travel. It's too large and intimidating for my small mind to comprehend, but time travel might make this pairing a thing.

Maybe Sinclair has a moment where he tries to run away from his Valen destiny, and Sheridan takes him back from the edge.

Jeffrey Sinclair/Kosh
To be honest, I have no idea how this relationship would work, but I will ship Jeffrey Sinclair with anything and I am intrigued! All I can think of is a spiritual sort of melding between them - maybe Jeffrey finally figures out what/who God is and his relationship with the divine.

Jeffrey Sinclair/Marcus Cole
The young, exuberant Marcus and the wise Jeffrey Sinclair! It has the makings of a great mentor/mentee relationship! They met while Marcus was training with the Rangers, so there could be something in there!

Jeffrey Sinclair/Talia Winters
Once again, I just love how fragile Talia seems throughout the series, and how protective and kind Sinclair is towards her. Some ideas are:

While having physical contact (whether it's kissing or having sex or whatever) Talia accidentally picks up on that hole in Sinclair's mind, and it freaks her out.

After Kelsey scans her in 'Mind War', Sinclair takes her out to dinner/for drinks because he can sense that she needs someone to talk to. Things evolve from there.

Kelsey/Talia
If you don't remember who Kelsey is, she had one appearance as Bester's evil sidekick before dying in 'Mind War'. Her ruthlessness paired with Talia's fragility is very compelling to me!

Maybe Kelsey and Talia knew each other in training and had a relationship. Eventually Kelsey betrayed Talia in order to climb the ladder to success.

An interlude between Talia and Kelsey during 'Mind War'. Kelsey seduces Talia to further mess with her mind.

Downton Abbey

Bertie Pelham/Edith Crawley/Laura Edmunds
I feel like we see Edith come into her own a bit at the end of the show, and I think it would be awesome if she could take that into her marriage. I just love the idea of her being 'Bertie, I love Laura as well, and if she can't be part of our marriage, then it's not going to work.' Whether they're an OT3, or a V with Edith in the middle, it works for me! Maybe Edith fell in love with Laura before she met Bertie, maybe they fell in love while she and Bertie were going through the drama with his mother, whatever!

Edith Crawley/Laura Edmunds
I love how unrestrained by society Edith is for a brief moment in season six, and kind of hoped she might wind up being a media mogul in a Boston marriage. That obviously didn't happen, but I can dream. Laura seemed to have that fun, 20s flapper girl energy and I think she would have been a good influence on Edith. Prompts are:

Edith and Laura working late on getting the paper out before the deadline. Kissy things (or more) happen.

Laura takes Edith out on the town, possibly to do something scandalous like listen to ragtime music. They drink, crash at Edith's, and things happen.

Canon divergence: Bertie's mother convinces him that Edith is not a good match, and he dumps her. Unlike all of her previous failed romances, Laura is there to help pick up the pieces.

Edith invites Laura over for dinner with her family after they've started seeing each other. They play the 'I invited my coworker over for dinner game' and either no one figures it out, or someone does figure it out (maybe a nice scene with Mary being less adversarial than she can be), they have naughty times when Laura sleeps over or get chased out of the house by homophobia. There's a lot of different places to go from there!

Isobel Crawley/Richard Clark
I loved these two together, and while I loved Dickie as well I was a little sad they didn't wind up together. I really feel like after working with her at the hospital, Dr. Clarkson knew what he was getting into and they would have been a great match. However this is also one of those pairings where one-sided angst is canon, and I do love me some of that. Prompts are:

Maybe Dickie's anemia WAS pernicious, and he dies, and Dr. Clarkson is there to help her afterwards.

Violet schemes to get Dickie in love with another woman and to bring Isobel and Dr. Clarkson closer together and it works!

Dr. Clarkson falls sick, and ironically for someone who has saved so many lives, there is no one there to tend to him. Except Isobel.

Thirsk Fair AU where instead of friend-zoning Dr. Clarkson, she says yes/thinks about it.

Mad Men

Betty Draper/Don Draper
I really like early series Betty/Don, with all the angst and Betty trying to hold herself together even though she knows she’s unhappy. So most of my prompts are from that era, but I also like to see Betty post-Don and Betty/Francis and Don/whoever he’s with at that time tags are totally welcome! Also, I’ve put Betty/Don, but if the fic reads more like Betty & Don I will still love it! Prompts are:

It would be awesome to see a Valentine’s day fic for them. I’d love to see a history of their V-days together. For instance, their V-day while dating is super romantic and loving, and then as the years go by they just keep getting worse and worse, possibly ending with or extending past the V-day we saw for them in season two. A 5+1 format would be loved for this idea!

Betty is bragging to Francine about how awesome her marriage is and something that Don has done for her. Francine knows this isn’t true and gently calls her out on it, and Betty doesn’t know what to do/has a total melt down at her inability to keep up appearances.

Sally is having boy problems and tells Betty about it. The behaviour of this boy reminds Betty of how Don acted. If it’s set earlier in the series, maybe Betty gives her shitty ‘stay the course’ sort of advice. If it’s after she and Don have divorced, maybe Betty opens up to Sally about how Don acted the same way and gives her sagely, motherly wisdom.

Based on Harry Crane's 'He could be The Batman for all we know' comment, a Mad Men/Batman fusion where Don Draper is Batman and Betty is... whoever Batman's love interest is (bedsides Robin. Pete or Peggy could totally be Robin). I know nothing about Batman, so whichever TV show/comic book/movie iteration you want to base it on is fine by me.

Betty Draper/Joan Holloway
I just really loved the Marilyn/Jackie juxtaposition that came up during the series, and I think these two fit it well. This is one of those pairings I’d be happy for a fic that could be read as Betty & Joan as well. Prompts are:

Joan ‘entertains’ Betty at the office while Don is AFK (a.k.a having sex with Midge)

AU where Betty leaves Don without heading out with Francis, and she and Joan come across each other.

Betty Draper/Trudy Campbell
I just love the idea of an affair between housewives! They're women who followed the script and found that it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

Trudy invites Don and Betty to dinner, and while Don and Pete are awkward, the two women find themselves getting on splendidly.

Somehow, Trudy and Betty get a little drunk together at the Campbell residence and the topic of infidelity comes up. Trudy admits she encouraged Pete to get an appartment in the city to keep the affairs away from her neighbourhood, but Pete is 'working late' tonight, so...

Don Draper/Peggy Olson
Their relationship in the show is so wonderful, and I always wonder what a romantic/sexual relationship between them would look like. As they are in the show, it would probably wind up being a disaster (and I'm down to read that!) but maybe not. Maybe they occupy such special places in each other's lives that sex/romance can't even ruin that. Or maybe it would just follow the same pattern they do in the show - they come apart, and grow together again. Or maybe Don and/or Peggy changes, and that allows the relationship to work. I just love these two together and I'll take them any way you spin them!

Don Draper/Rachel Menken
Rachel was my favourite of Don's affairs, mostly because while Rachel did get pulled into Don, she eventually had enough sense to untangle herself from him. Rachel is amazing and deserves better, so I'd love to see any Rachel-centric piece regarding this beautiful dumpster fire of a relationship. Her struggles with finding out he's married and holding on, her realization that he's just using her as an escape, maybe comparing and contrasting Don and her husband, Tilden Katz. Or maybe something from Don's perspective about how he feels when he discovers she got married - how subconsciously unnerved he is that another man got what he wanted.

Joan Holloway/Trudy Campbell
Much like Joan/Betty, I just love the contrast between Joan, who wants what Trudy has, and the reality of Trudy's fraught relationship with Pete. However I think with both Trudy and Joan that element of social climbing is much more prevalent in their attitudes and they have very similar personalities in that respect.

I read a fanfic that completely sold me on these two! I can picture Rachel finding Michael's blunt honesty very charming after being surrounded by smooth talkers for so long, and I think Michael would be a little wowed by a woman who was so strong and powerful, especially if she takes an interest in him.

Rachel starts sleeping with Michael after she ends things with Don, and tries to make Don jealous by coming in specifically to see Michael or sending him gifts or whatever. Maybe Michael comes to see what's going on and calls her out, or maybe he doesn't and just stays an unwitting pawn.

Maybe they meet at Temple. I don't know enough about Judaism to specify exactly how they would be brought together by their shared heritage/religion, but I'd love to see them come together that way.

Murdoch Mysteries

Emily Grace/Julia Ogden
I love this pair as sort of a doomed love affair. Maybe Emily has a one-sided crush on Julia, maybe Julia likes her as well but is torn between her and William, or maybe they fall madly in love, say 'Fuck it all' and move the the Caribbean. Maybe they have a secret love affair and William finds out and Julia goes 'I'm not stopping, so accept it or get out of my way' and William's all like 'Uh... O.K.' Prompts are:

Emily begins talking to Julia about her attraction to women, thinking it must be a psychological disorder. Julia disagrees.

After Season Three's 'Victor, Victorian', Julia still cross-dresses sometimes. Emily comes across her in drag, and it curious and a little aroused. Julia teaches her how to cross-dress and they go around the town being two overly touchy-feely men.

AU where Emily and Julia do open up the women's clinic they've always wanted. They get a patient who only has sex with women who apparently has some sort of STI. For research purposes, they try to find the possible vectors of transmission between two women.

William and Julia go on vacation somewhere, and William stumbles across James, who is in hiding. Things evolve from there.

Julia leaves William for Emily. William wonders what's so appealing about being with someone of the same sex. James is happy to show him.

During one of Pendrick's 'fuck, I'm broke' points in the series, he shows up at William's boarding house. He just needs somewhere to stay while he works on his next scheme. William has to hide him from his landlady.

Ah, the het pairing of my heart! To be honest, it's kind of hard to come up with prompts for this pairing because the show itself has ridden them pretty hard. I mean, what HASN'T happened to them? Prompts are:

Fic about what goes down when they stay at the hotel to give grounds for an annulment from Darcy.

Julia would be the more sexually adventurous out of the two. I'd like to see Julia dragging William into some new possibilities, if you know what I mean.

Just as a side note, when I floated the idea of this canon the response I got was ‘As long as I don’t need to know a lot about 70s hockey rules I might write for it’. Rest assured, I don’t know jack shit about hockey as it is currently played and I will not be upset if there’s no game scene in the story. Benjamin Sisko/Elim Garak
Sisko is a captain dedicated to the ideals of the Federation... but sometimes a man has a job to do, and Garak can help pave the highway to hell.

'In The Pale Moonlight' is obviously the dynamite episode for these two so anythiing based on that. Maybe Garak becomes a target for all of Sisko's darker urges, maybe Sisko feels a bond between them because Garak was front and center to his moral downfall.

Maybe post-war Garak becomes a Cardassian ambassador to the Federation and both are involved with talks of Cardassia possibly joining. Maybe they reminisce and wind up falling into bed together.

Damar/Elim Garak
I love Damar's character arc. He goes from being a lackey to being a symbol of hope for a planet, and I love how this contrasts with Garak's exile from Cardassia. Prompts are:

While Damar is still in his lackey phase, Garak seduces him in order to screw Dukat over somehow.

During Damar's 'booze, women and failing Cardassia' stage, Garak helps him take his mind off of his own powerlessness.

While Damar, Kira and Garak are holed up in Garak's childhood house, they have a genuine heart-to-heart and Garak tells him he's genuinely impressed. It leads to sexy/romantic times.

Canon divergence where Damar lives after the Dominion War is over. He has to deal with rebuilding Cardassia, and Garak is there to help.

Dukat/Elim Garak
They're both so... Cardassian, in different ways. They make for a vert twisted pairing, and I love it!

So, the implant that makes Garak feel pleasure when being tortured? I think Dukat could work with that.

Pre-canon, perhaps Garak seduced Dukat as part of an investigation into his father. During one of their trysts Dukat let something slip which led to his torture/death. THAT'S why he hates Garak so much.

Dukat has sort of an egoistic saviour complex to him. Maybe he thinks he can be 'empathetic' to Garak and 'save' him from being an outcast.

Ezri Dax/Jadzia Dax
I honestly think these two would be an adorable couple if, you know, they could have appeared in canon together. Jadzia is this strong, confidant, sexy woman, and Ezri is cute, bubbly and a little... not as well put together.

Maybe they met before canon (obviously, Ezri wouldn't be Ezri Dax then, but whatevs). Maybe they have a conversation about Jadzia being a host, and hit it off.

When Ezri gets Dax, maybe Jadzia's personality is the strongest in her mind and tries to guide/help her through everything. Maybe they fall in love, which has extra angst because they're essentially one person at this point, and maybe Ezri has angst because she's not sure whether she's falling in love with a real person or just a echo of someone who once was.

Ezri undergoes the zhian'tara, and winds up having an experience with whoever hosts Jadzia (maybe Leeta? Kira? Anyone who is female would be good).

Ezri Dax/Leeta
They're both just so adorable and fun, and to be honest, I didn't really care for either of them with Julian so I'd love to see them getting together post-Julian.

Ezri Dax/Lenara Kahn
The angst! I'd love to see Ezri and Lenara meeting, and Ezri being very confused about whether her feelings for Lenara are her own, or if they belong to her other hosts/Dax. Hell, maybe they had a thing together before Ezri become Dax's host, and that makes things even stickier!

Jadzia Dax/Leeta
Once again, I just love seeing strong, confidant Jadzia with someone who is so bubbly and light-hearted (not that Jadzia isn't fun and light-hearted, but she's definitely more of a warrior than Leeta).

I'd love to see them together after Julian and Leeta break up.

Maybe Jadzia flirts with her while she's at the Dabo table. After winning big, Jadzia offers to take Leeta out for dinner. Or something.

This is one of the few S2 subplots that I actually got in to, and there isn’t enough fic about it! Prompts are:

Plot twist: what if Ben isn’t Donna’s father and that was just a red herring? Perhaps the subplot was about something else entirely – maybe Ben is somehow responsible for Eileen being in a wheelchair, maybe he straight up murdered her entire family, the possibilities are endless!

I just love Constance with the edgier, darker characters, and I'd love to see anything with Constance bringing out the softer side of Diane!

It’s a fandom favourite and mine, and I’m happy to see this taken in any direction. Fluffy, angsty, one-sided, dark. My only caveat is that I'd prefer Harry not to refer to Cooper as 'darlin'. It just pulls me out whenever I read it. Prompt ideas are:

At the end of S3, when Cooper realizes he can’t save Laura, he decides that he can at least save Harry whose ill-health is a result of the influence of BOB and the Black Lodge.

I feel like the show kind of sold us short on these two, so I'd love to see anything expanding their relationship or their history! However you want to spin it is fine. Harry is obviously head over heels for Josie in the show, but maybe he's more in lust than in love and doesn't realize the difference. Maybe Josie was genuinely interested in him, or maybe she was just using him.

The show hints that Josie called Harry out for fraudulent prowlers. Was that the first time they met, and she just wanted a chance to get the town sheriff in her pocket? Or maybe they had met before and had an instant attraction, and she genuinely wanted him to come.

Any cute, soft moments between them. Maybe she teaches Harry some Cantonese, or maybe Harry takes her fishing, or something like that.

There are a few ways this dynamic could go. The one that popped into my head when I read this OT3 was Matthew wanting to see Mary with another man. He catches Thomas looking at them while they're together, and assumes that Thomas is attracted to Mary and propositions him. Mary and Thomas are wary, because they both know Thomas is gay, but he agrees to it anyway just to be close to Matthew, who he has a crush on. Awkward het sex between Mary and Thomas would be awesome. Maybe Matthew is giving directions from the corner, or maybe he's more involved. Maybe Matthew and Thomas never actually touch, leading to increased angst on Thomas' part, or maybe Matthew joins in. Or maybe Thomas isn't generally attracted to women, but Mary is the exception and everyone has a good time.

Another way to take it is perhaps Mary knows about Matthew's bisexual tendencies, and suggests Thomas as a third. Mary's level of involvement is up to you!

They're beautiful, and they're dysfunctional, and there's so much angst to be had here that I can't even begin to imagine it all.

I have a few ideas for them: one is that Don finds out about Betty's infidelity (whether it's that time in the series or a time you made up, whether it's with another character or some rando OC, whatever). He punishes her with rape. It can be anywhere from relatively gentle noncon (just enough roughness to restrain her without hurting her) to being a bit rough (bruises, being held down, biting, etc). However I don't want extreme abuse (punching, breaking bones, etc). I'm also super down with them just having rough sex without there being a degree of noncon involved.

My second desire for this pair revolves around Don's Madonna/Whore complex. I headcanon Betty as this very sexual creature that is, to a certain extent, restrained by her time. So I'd like to see a fic that explores the hot sex they had before getting married (even if Betty is a 'good girl' and they don't have PiV) and how once they're hitched Don goes 'Blow jobs? You're a wife, not a whore.' For the voyeurism tags, I'd like one of two possibilities: Betty puts on a show for Don while they're dating (whatever she does is up to you), and either he just appreciates it or gives direction, maybe he jumps her afterwards, or whatever. OR after they get married and Don is suddenly uninterested in the great sex they had before, Betty catches him masturbating and watches, having angsty thoughts about how attracted she is to him and how great their sex life used to be.

Third: Subconsciously (or in a rare moment where she's not bullshitting herself) Betty realizes that Don is cheating on her. She fucks him hard (because she wants to show him what he's missing? To take back some of her power? Whatever it is, so does it).

The last one is the figging tag. I'm just imagining Don explaining what they used to do to horses on the farm, and Betty going '...I have an idea.' Did they have ginger widely available in the 1960s? I don't know and I don't care. Can also be used in configuration with other prompts, this was just a short idea I had that might be less complicated to knock out.

So, Ben and Harry probably don't like each other super much (as evidenced by Ben threatening to ruin Harry when he's arrested). I'd love to see their antagonism played out pretty much any way - maybe they both hate each other, but are so horny for each other they can't stop having sex. Maybe Ben offers Harry sex so that Harry will do something for him (and it would be awesome if Harry agreed and there was some sort of monkey's paw/'fulfilling the letter, but not the spirit' of the agreement). Maybe they just get into an altercation that turns sexual and they're scrapping for dominance. Maybe it's dubcon, noncon... really, anything that encapsulates their antagonistic spirit would be fantastic!

I just have iddy, iddy feelings for this relationship. I am in love with the idea that, during high school, Harry was just so desperate for Hank's approval and/or love that he just put up with a ton of degrading, humiliating shit because it earned him (temporary) approval/affection from Hank. Maybe he enjoyed it because it made Hank happy, maybe he didn't enjoy it but still put up with it because he was that desperate. Even as an adult Hank seems to unnerve Harry, and I imagine that's because Harry is embarrassed at how sickly codependent he was during their younger years, but also that Harry never really got over his need for Hank's approval and is still drawn to him. I'm OK with a fic being set during high school (please don't make then younger than 16) or any time after that.

So, Josie was a prostitute back in Hong Kong and Harry is a small town boy. I think she definitely showed him some things. While I don't really buy her as 'dommiest of the dommes' I can totally see her topping from the bottom in a demure, understated sort of way. Harry doesn't know what the hell he's doing, but she does. But if Harry rocks her world a little along the way, that is awesome! In canon it's debatable how much Josie really likes/love Harry, and I'm O.K. with however you want to play that, or if you don't want to touch that at all it's fine too. Thank you so much for being part of this exchange, and I am super excited to see what you come up with! My letter is long and unwieldy because I have a lot of interests but I hope that I’ve organized it so that you don’t have to read too much that you're not writing for.

General Notes

Ratings: Anything from G to hardcore might-squick-me-out E is loved and appreciated!

Additional stuff: For prompts where I say ‘...and they move to the Caribbean’, no one actually has to move to the Caribbean. Where small children are used as a mouthpiece to get the characters together. There are pairings where it would be totally appropriate for the characters to bond over children, but I just don’t like it when children are used to say ‘OMG parental unit, you and character B are totally in love and I don’t understand why you haven’t done the dirty on our kitchen counter yet.’

MPreg and fic that is solely about pregnany/kids. There are canons where kids are definitely a concern and people get pregnant, but I don't want the entire fic to be 'A gets pregnant and all the characters focus on is pregnany/the kids'.

Complete and total woobification/caretakerification of characters. Some hurt/comfort is great, and some characters just go through shitty times, but making character A an anorexic with abusive parents who self-harms after being raped repeatedly while character B exists without a personality just to be a caretaker to them is not something I'm interested in. So maybe what's I'm trying to get at is canon-appropriate levels of hurt/comfort.

Except for my threesome pairings, no mentions of polyamory or A trying to get B to let C into their relationship.

First or second person POV. At least not for the entire fic. Maybe there's a dream sequence or something like that where it might make sense.
